The i machines will cost approximately £3OO. ; Thero will he 10 light aeroplanes in the ; tests at the coming -Sev South AY ales | Aerial Derby. Three have been imported i by the Government • from Britain. The , other seven are being built in Austra- ■ Ha, and five are in course of construcI tion in the Sydney district. j Captain W. Percival, late of the Aus- | tralian Flying Corpus, is building a machine in a garage in Pitt street, to the design of Mr H. E. Broadsmith, techni--1 cal adviser and designer to the Depart--1 ment of Civil Aviation. The machine, | which will be flown by Captain Percival ■j in the competition, will be fitted with i an imported; British twin-cylinder enj gine of 10 li.p. Captain H. Itoss is ! building two aeroplanes, also to the dei Sign of Mr Broadsmith, in Sydney. Each of the three machines designed by Mr Broadsmith is a different type, and i will demonstrate special features from | the scientific standpoint. Captain Ross's machines will fce fitted with an engine j of 7 b.h.p. To his own deuign, Captain.
