GATHERING OF THE CLANS.
The Scottish Society's Gathering of the Clans was continued last night, when the second concert was given before & packed house in the Society's rooms. The. programme was on linea similar to the one given, at the first concert, but'the items were all' new. Mrs A. W. MacGillivray gave a spirited tendering of "Caller Herrin','' and Miss "Jessie: C. King bang "Scotland, Yet" very effectively. Mr Leslie 'Fleming's songs were admirably rendered, and the recitations by Miss Lucy Cowan and the Eev. Clyde Carr were greatly appreciated. Other contributors to the evening's entertainment were Misses Carrie Hoare, Joan Craig, B. Craig, J. McLauchlan, M. Grigor, B. Anderson, B. Peddie, M. Aitken, D. Bruce, and D. Philipson, Mrs and Miss' B. v Stallard, Mrs W. Pearce, Master Dave Dickson, Messrs Charles Bills, and Peter Donaldson. The Society's Pipe Band contributed a number of selections, and Mrs E. A. Smith played the accompaniments for the vocalists.
To-night's carnival dance at the 'Eeridezvous Cabaret should attract a large gathering of dancers. , The arrangements, which include social novelties imported direct from England ' and Trance, should prove a source of, great amusement and enjoyment to those attending.- Bailey's Jazz Band'may be depended upon to supply.the brightest and latest dance music. Supper tables may be reserved during the day by ringing No. 4169.
