During a geography lesson this week a teacher in an InvercargiU" school was questioning his class aboui Holyhead, the Welsh seaport which is the chief mail' packet station for Ireland. -It was tne name of this particular-port that the teacher was trying to get at, but her first direct question was unanswered. So another method was employed. "What is the prickly tree used for the Christmas decorations?" she risked.. Holly, of coarse. Nothing difficult aboui that. "And what ia this?" touching a little chap in the front row on the head. "Wood,*' canie the prompt and rather surprising; retort from the owner of the head. However, the problem was soon satisfactorily solved, though . not before a good laugh had been enjoyed at the naive confession the teacher's second question had elicited. Hollywood and Holyhead may be as far apart as the poles (remarks the "Southland News"), but it would be safe to assume that the knows more about the' heroes of Hollywood thqua tiie'history of Holyhead.
