The results of the men's winter working bees will also be in full evidence, and every effort will be made to secure the financial success that'the club so richly deserves. Sports Association. At the annual meeting of the Sumner United Sports Association Mr G-. F. Allen presided. The .annual report, which was adopted, referred to the necessity for confirming regulation's governing the inter-borough contests. The ; ;balance-sheet showed -a credit of £4 'l7s. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. H. Nicholson/ president, Mr C." •M;' r ''ms\v6ll^' i: president, •Mr W. S. Mitchell; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. L. Allen; executive, president, vice-president and secretary.' The retiring president and Mr Wilson were appointed to meet Mr Gamble and a member of the New Brighton Football Club at an early, date. The invitation received from the New Brighton Association was accepted for Tuesday, November 25th, and Messrs Williams, Wilson and Hines were appointed a transport committee. Delegates present undertook to notify their clubs and do all in their power to make the visit a great success.
