ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.
A cycle race meeting was held at the English Park Stadium last night. A novel event was the teams' pursuit race, in which two teams, each of two riders, started off different marks and raced for five minutes, the team mates pacing each other. Teams' Pursuit Race—First heat: J. Henderson &nS E. Marra, defeated W. Mackio and P- F. Saunders. Second heat: P. O'Shea and K. Lange defeated A. Bonis and A. T. George. Bonis could not stand the pace and his team-mate went on four laps alone, after which he. pulled out. Final: Henderson and Marra beat O'Shea and Lange. Henderson finishd alone. Half-mile amateur handicap—H. A. Stevens (50yds) 1, J. H. Price (30yds) 2, J. Falcon (40yds) 3. Time, lmin 7sec.
