CALEDONIAN SOCIETY'S CONCERT.
There was a bumper louse at the Caledonian Hall when the second concert -under the auspices of the Canterbury Caledonian Society was given. Madame Grower Burns sang "Annie Laurie" admirably. The monologues, duets and solos given by Mr and Mrs Farquhar Young (Miss Mildred Wrighton) were excellently interpreted, and these papular entertainers, who are, as a southern contemporary remarked, entitled to' the mantle of the famous Kennedy family, were enthusiastically recalled. Sister ClarKe, who played their accompaniments, contributed much fo their success. Mr Bracey Wilson, who has a budget of new humorous Scottish songs, made a great hit, and responded to several recalls. Other items were contributed by Misses Bessie Thompson, J. Irvine Doris Bell, M. Neate.J. Staunton, M. Irvine, J. Craig, Bettye Craig, Dorothy Spiller, Vera Pocock, and E. Turner, Messrs A. Macdonald, A. J. Clarkson, J. A. Fraser and J. Irvine. Miss Eileen Warren played the 'accompaniments for the vocalists, and the Society s Pipe Band contributed several selections.
