AUCKLAND, November 13. An unusual accident occurred in Wellesley street oast to-night, when a motor-bus ascending a.hill ran out of petrol, with a result that it- began to run backwards owing to tho brakes failing to act. The driver, bearing m mind the recent tramway smash at the S of the hUI. and steering an erratic course managed to turaVthe bus into Sd street, when it m o«r the fwtpath, becoming wedged between a lamp-post and a building at the corner If Lrne street.
