BRITISH AND FOREIGN. British Politics. Mr Ormsby-Gore has accepted the Under-Secretaryship of the Colonies. The Government intends to revive the whole Preference scheme of the Imperial Conference.
A Close Call. The All Blacks beat Cambridge University by five points to nil. The student forwards played a great game, and the New Zealand backs were below form. Beds Denounced. Bolshevism is an infectious disease, according to "Bed Emma," a well-known woman revolutionary, who denounced Communism from a London platform. Spanish Plot. Documents have been seized showing that the Spanish plot aimed at the lives of the Royalties.
Separations. The Reparations Commission, its work now less burdensome, is moving into Smaller offices and reducing its staff.
