Bailing-ship. . with outspreading Bails, then came the ..Austral-■ lan kangaroo and our own. native bird the kiwi. Unbrea/kable glass waa made on. a large whfeel- thousands of : feet in length, and finer than silk. Takingtho'-glaßa from the '■ wheel, the operator, tied' it in knota and bows 'to provo it c was reasonably unbreakable. ■; Then a small . piece of glass was taken from tho furnace and.-blown into a large oausage-shaped- balloon, which i' was burst, and tho glass floated in the air like flakes of pnow. The • thickneea, of this • g(aas was given as' two ten-thousandth of an' inch;. Other ''creations''made' wet©' shales,' large curling smoke pipes.,, 'the* beautiful and ' graceful swan . muT the , glass-blowers' • famous lung-tester.
