INSTITUTE OF HORTICULTURE.

(PBZSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NELSON, November 12. A large meeting was held last night at which the aims and objects of the Institute of Horticulture were explained. The speakers included Professor Thomas, Messrs F. Kaaterfield,. H. Atmore, M.P., G. A. Green, and 6. A. Harkneea. ' Resolutions were carried unanimously to form a Nelson Council of the institute and of appreciation for the support to the institute accorded by Cabinet and Parliament. The officers of the new council elected were —President, Mr G. A. Harkness; vicepresidents, Messrs T. C. C. Scott and P. Bolton. . . , It is intended to institute a campaign to secure the affiliation of local bodies and to obtain individual members.
