The Hon. A. I>. McLood, Minister of liands, will shortly -visit tho South Island. Ho will attend both the Dunedin and shows. The Hon. W. Downie Stewart will leave Wellington for Dunedin an Monday, and -will be absent from Wellington for about a week. «
Mr M. Harper (Lake Heron) is staying at tho United Service Hotel. Mr John Montgomery, who has been on a visit to the Old Country; returned to Christchurch yesterday.
Mr Peter *Wriglit (Gisbom-e) is inaking a brief slay at Kaiapoi Island, and is the guest- o:" Mr anil Mrs James Wright. Mr A. A. Blomely, Ballarat, is in Christchurch as a dclegato of the Melbourne Stamp Club to tho Philatelic Congress to bo held in Christchurch next week.
Messrs G. H. Scott (Wellington), G. Magnus (Wellington), R. Naylo (Wellington), W. J. Robinson (Auckland), i'\ Marshall (Bradford), N. W. Stevens (Pittsburg), and J. G-. Weir (Culverden) are guests at Warnor's Hotel. Mr Justice H. Montgomery Hamilton, Sydney, passed through Christchurch on Monday on nis way to Orari. His Honour intends being in Christchurch for the opening of the Stamp Exhibition on Tuesday next, where he is exhibiting his very fino collection of stamps of New Zealand and New South Wales.
There is a possibility of Mr Henry Ford visiting the New Zealand and South Seas Inhibition at Dunedin next year. This information comes from Mr Ford's private secretary, who informed a, member of tho Exhibition Committee that if his principal does take an extensive holiday next year, as at present intended, he will visit New Zealand.
