RUGBY LEAGUE FINANCE. The Auckland Rugby Football League experienced a highly _ successful season this year from a financial point of view. After paying insurance premiums for players and expending about £4OO on improvements at Carlaw Park, the league 6howa a net profit to date, of £1640*. The takings at Carlaw Park for the. season, including the receipts at the matches against the English team, totalled about £BOOO., The League's • share of the aggregate receipts totalled £4569, an increase of £906 compared with ,the previous season. Further improvements at Carlaw Park for the. better accommodation of the public are contemplated, including additions to 'the' grandstand.
