FIRE BRIGADES' DISPLAY.
SHOW NIGHT ATTRACTION. For the purpose of bringing prominently under tli3 notice of the public the United Firo Brigades' Demonstration, to be held in Christchurch next March the City Fire Brigades will' give a coloured water display to-morrow evening {.Show Night) in Victoria, square. It is some time since Christchurch folk have had an opportunity of witnessing the very beautiful' effects obtained by playing water on coloured lights and the display Ghould attract a big attendance. The brigades will form a torchlight procession and will leave the Chief Fire Station, Lichfield 6treet, at eight o'clock, headed by tho Municipal (formerly Tramway) Band. During the display the band will give a programme of selected items.
