ENGLISH PARK.
TO-NIGHT'S CYCLING MEETING. The cycle racing track at English Park will "be usad to-night for the first time under' artificial light. The special floodlights which have been installed round the track provide splendid illumination, mating the . whole of the course as "light as day." The Mayor of Christchurch will declare the track open at 7.45 p.m., after the contesting cyclists have paraded before _ tho spectators. Subsequently a full and interesting programme of track races witl be staged, and these should prove of exceptional interest, as the competitors include some of the Dominion's best riders. The men will ride in distinctive' colours, thus making it et i 3 y for the spectators to follow the progress of the events. The handicaps are as follows: • Half-Mile—lst Class Handicap-P. OShea scr.
