SKIN SALES. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cabled advice from London: Sheepskins - Soles—s3so bales were offered and 4450 sold. The attendance of buyers was good. English buyers were the principal operators. America bought about 25 per cent, of the offering-a. There wa3 good competition for all descriptions, being especially keen on short-woolled skins. As compared with closing rates last sheepskins sales, on merino and halfbred combing skins, any change in prices -is in • favour of sellers, Merino and halfbred clothing skins are-10 per cent, higher, fine crossbred combing skins market firm and prices unchanged. Fine crossbred clothing skins 10 per cent, higher, coarse'and medium combing skins 10 per cent, higher, coarse and medium clothing skins, 10 to 15 per cent, higher. The following is the range of prices:—Merifio three-quarter to. full-woolled 20d to 25d, quarter to halfwoolled 15d to 2(Jd, short and Bhorn lid to 13d, fine crossbred three-quarter to fullwoolled 18d to 25d, quarter to half-woolled 15d to 20Jd, meditim and coarse crossbred, three-quarter to full-woolled 14d to 19|d, quarter to "half-woolled lid to 17d, crossbred short • and shorn lid to 14£ d, lambs' 161 to 20Jd.
• EGG AUCTION. Messrs Harris Bros., Ltd., report that the usual weekly auction sale of Feather Brand guaranteed fresh eggs, on behalf of the Canterbury Egg Farmers' Co-operative Association was held in their rooms, 158 Hereford street, yesterday afternoon. The wool sales were continued to-day. Prices still favour sellers for all merino wools. Competition was kesn in sill sections. Comebacks and fine and medium crossbreds showed an advance of 5 to 7£ " per cent, on the last eeries. Reoord prices for the season so far were secured as follows:—l4d for merino, 38idl for broken, 35£ d , for pieces, 31d for bellies, and 19Jd for locks.
