LOAN FOR HIGHWAYS WORKS.
(PSESS ASSOCIATION TZLXGIUIt.) WELLINGTON. November 11. The Hutt County Council has decided to take a poll of the ratepayers on «, proposal to raise a loan to subsidise the Main Highways Board in carrying out operations in the Hutt County. The exact amount of the loan is not yet determined, but the scheme, which involves triple control by • the Hutt County Council, Main Highways Board, and Hutt Road Board, will probably mean a total expenditure of £176,000, the Hutt County Council contributing on a basis of £ for £.
