CYCLING.
SPRINGSTON SOUTH CLUB. On Saturday the Springston South Cycling Club held a club road race over a distance of twenty-two miles. The roads were in excellent order and conditions were ideal except for a slight nor'-east wind, which several competitors found too trying. The results were:— L. Bennett (Greenpark) (smin), time 62min 15sec •• ..... 1 T. Jordan (Lincoln) 6min), 6min IS 2-Seec .. •• •■ ••■ 2 J Fruden (smin). 62mm 16 l-sseo ..6 Fastest time, V. "Watson (Greenpark) (scr), time, 58min i2 2-saec; second fastest time, special prize given by Mr. E. Welsh), M. 13. Ryan (scr) sSmin 12- 4-ssec. Fastest time under 18, E. Hosken (2£min), 61min 12 3-ssec. Subsequent to the race a dance was held in the Memorial Hall, when the trophies won were presented by Mr E. H. Rowell.
