SCHOOL OF ART SKETCH CLUB.
A- fine - display of Bketdics in-' oils and water colours', was held on SatTirday by members of the School of Art Sketch Club. It -was the closing monthly exhibition for the year, and iccluded in the usual monthly a eelcction ,cf. tho best work exhibited during the. yoai. Of the 150 studies shown, tho majority were landscapes, the diversity of subject, and methods of treatment making a particularly bright and attractive show. Mr A: F. Nicoll, the director of the School of Art, occupied two hours in ah exhaustive criticism. Miss M. O: .Stoddart moved a very heaity voto of thanks to Mr Nicoil and those who had given their services during the. year as critics. Tho club has,had a most successful year, the progress made by students testify; ing to the practical-value the excellent advice given at the exhibitions.
