NIGHT CARNIVAL DE LUXE.

BIG SHOW ATTRACTION. On? of tho principal attractions of Carnival Week will be the gay Night Carnival Do Luxe held by the Canterbury A. and I'. Association at the Show Grounds on the evening of Thursday, November 13th, in connexion with the Metropolitan Show, which takes place on that day and ou Friday, November lti.li. Good as last. year's carnival was, it is expected to be eclipsed by this year's, with a diversified lasting from " p.m. till 10 p.m., ;;nd in addition there will bo numerous side-shows. The lighting arrangements have been considerably improved, and Dovry's Band has been commissioned to play a programme of attractive music. Post entriea will be received by the secretary, Mr G. G. Dcnniston, for the following events:—Handicap pony event*, for ponies 1-1 bands ami under, ridden by boys or girls under 10 years of age; Go-as-vou-please Ponv events, for ponies 12" hands and under, ridden by toys or "iris 13 vears and under; Musical Chairs and Gretna Green, Victoria. Cress, Bending and Flap: Races. In addition there will be. rallies, nakas, tent -nitching. wolf cubs' display, bridge building, master-at-arms display, and physical dri'll by the Boy Scouts.
