FASHIONS IN COLOUR.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PBESS." Sir,—Wc are all children of fashion in dress, speech, or ideas. One sheep in the flock jumps and all that follow jump. Tho Labour Party at. Home- is in trouble. Evidently something must have happened, as the Buffs and the Blues have lowered the Reds' colours, and so tho fashions change. Soon we may expect to seo displays in fbo drapers' windows of red ties under cost price. Those of them who hold large stocks will be- well advised to have them dyed a pale or what is termed an invisible pink, as scarlet* and vermilions will bo slow sellers during the coming seasons. They might tono them down to tho colour the coster girl wished for when ordering a new costume, "I don't want (she told her dressmaker) anything gaudy; iusfc a quiet red."—Yours, etc., J AV. H.
