PRISONERS RECAPTURED.

AFTER TRAVELLING EIGHTY MILES.

(PEES 3 ASSOCIATION T«L»3KUf.) TAIHAPE, November 1. The two prisoners, Dale and Wigg, who escaped from "Waikunc Prison Camp, near Erua, on Monday, were recaptured by Constables Grant and Thompson, of Mangawcka and Huntervillc respectively, yesterday evening. The prisoners had reached Kawhatau, directly at the back of Mangawcka, and had travelled about. 80 miles since leaving the prison camp. The escapees were brought to Tailiape and lodged in the lock-up, and will appear before Justices of the Peace today.
