THE CHERNIAVSKYS.
No wonder that the Cherniavskys, who are to appear here at the Choral Hall on Tuesdav, November 11th, Wednesday, November 12tli, and Thursday, November 13th, at 8 p.m., were engaged.to play the Triple Concerto by Beethoven at the Festival held in" Vienna, for they are indeed remarkable interpreters of Beethoven. They seem to be able to gel right into the spirit of the composer and reproduce his vibrations, whilst, at the same time, they can exercise the necessary glamour. Probably the successes of the Cherniavskys' interpretation of the great masters is due to the fact that thev sense round about a composition a kind of personality into which they are able to plunge. They have improved one hundred per cent, since they rested for one vear and studied under the great masters, and have greatly matured in both style and musicianship, but all three are bound happily by common characteristics. There is a vigour ar.d abandon in their solo work, and a "certain effervescent youthfulness, which has an nesthetic appeal of its own. It is curious, if not entirely opposed to orthodox reasoning, that a pianist, violinist an» cMlisl, with the independent spirits as exhibited bv Jnn, Leo and Mischel C'herniavsky respectively. in solo numbers, should combiro so 'successful!-.--.in trios by Beethoven and Mendelssohn. But this they do to the crtiro satisfaction crcl enjoyment of the fastidious, as well as the indulgent members of their large audiences. The box plan will own on Thursdav morning at The Bristol Piano Co. There 'are concessions to students under IP years in parties ol not less than 10 in number. Children tinder seven will not be admitted under any circumstances.
