The death occurred at the Cromwell Hospital on Wednesday ot Mr Arthur M Irvine, who was well known throughout Central Otago as manaSr of the National Bank at Cromwell The dec-eased was 63 years of age 'and was a single man He opened the Cromwell branch ot the .National Bink: daring; the dredging boom about I*?> and had remained in charge ever i P i,t ' xw late Mr Irvine was assomany local clubs and bodiel notably golf, bowling, racing, and the Athenaeum Committee He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
