MANY LABOUR LOSSES. LIBERAL LEADER DEFEATED: HIS PARTY ROUTED. At two o'clock this morning less than half the returns of the British Election were to hand; but so far the Conservatives, who have gained heavily from both Labour and the Liberals, have easily more than an absolute majority of the seats decided. The feature of the earlier returns is the heavy loss suffered by the Liberal Party. Mr Asquith himself was defeated, and stalwarts of the party are missing all along the line.
