GREENDALE CLUB. In the Malvern Cricket Association's compaction, Darfield A team met Greendale A. at Greendale, and won hy 20 runs. Darficld made 115 (J. Bcamau 51, H. West-wood. 21, Geo Keveley 13), and Grecndalc O't (C L. Ridgen 45, W. .T. Dean 14). For Darficld, H. Otten took four wickets for IS runs, J. Beama-n two for 10, H. Parsons one for 6, and Geo. Keveley two for 20. For Greendale R. Clucas took fivo wickets for 4'2 runs', K. Kay three for 25, and F. Cullcn two for 23. , , A match was played on tho Greenrial© Domain, between a team from the Para Rubber Co. and the local team. Greendale won on the first innings by 12 runs. lara Rubber Co. made 62 (Spaan 33), and Greendale 74 (F. H. Needham 21, R. Stephens 16) For the Para Rubber Co., Mather took six wickets for 17 runs, -Spaan five for 27,, ,r Sandford one for 7, and Snooks one for "l For Greendale, R. The Adviaorv County Cricket Committee, mcrtm- at Lord's, adopted a sub-comrmt-tec's recommendation enabling the covering of a, pitch after 11 o'clock in tho morningof the day preceding and until ft match begins, and further protection thereafter when neccssarv, in any case nightly, dunn? continuation of the ma-tch. The covering is to be removed if the weather be fine, at seven o'clock in tho morning. Tho covering after commencement of the match must no"t protect a. larger area, than 18 by 12 feet at each end and must not protect over three and » half feet in front of tho popping create.
Hours of play in county matches have been definitely fixed u.t hours . for the first day, 7J for tho second, and 6J for tho third, with an extra half hour on the last day for the purpose of .securing a definite or first innings result. The most important question brought before tho committee concerned tho pystem of awarding championship point*. The Yorkshire proposal, two points for a win and one to each sido in caee of a draw, was lost. The present system was retained pending a further proposal. All resolutions passed are subject to confirmation by tho M.C.C. Committer. A meeting of the Cricket Board of Control decided that on tho occasion of the Australian visit in 1926, test matches he played on dates m June, July, and August correeponding with those on which England and South Africa met this year.
A friendly game w M played- at Linwood Park between tho Mairehau Chib ajid the Cnristchurch Wanderers. Maiwhau batted first, and made 216 runs <B. Felton SO Hood 4G, "Ward 36 not out, W. J. Walter''2l retired, Free 19, G. Felton 16, Hibbard 14). Wanderers made 31 and 20. For Mairehau B. Felton, Free, Hood, Hibbard, A. D. McFadden, I), (i. McFadden, Ward, and C-.
