GENERAL NEWS. There will bo a short sitting of the Magistrate's Court to-day, no defended cases being set down for hearing. At the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Tiawald Lodge, 1.0.0J; 1 ., M.U., N.G. Mr C. V. Hulme presided over a good attendance of members. Nominations of officers for the ensuing year were handed in. Notice of motion was given to move at tho summoned meeting that tho Lodge meet on alternate Thuredays instead of on Monday evenings, as at present. The Bluo Degree was conferred on three members. Two candidates were proposed for membership. Mail Notices.
