(PBMB AMOmTIOK TttlOMK.) AUCKLAND, October 30. The mysterious disappearance cf » girl named Etbel May Lane, loi years of age, from tho Supreme Court building on. Wednesday maroirig, is causing great concern to her relatives. The girl was to have been an important witness ia a criminal case from Waihi, but she did not hare to give evidence, as the accused pleaded guilty. Ho was sentenced to twelve months' reformative detention, and on leaving the dock is stated to have called out to the girl: "Goodbye, Ethel.',' She was considerably affected, and became somewhat hysterical after leaving, the Ccnrirrcom. The girl vae seen by her brother to go into the ladies' ivaiting-room, and since then all trace of her has been lost.
