(3T CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COrTEIGHT) (AUSTBALIAN AKD N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.)
DELHI, October 27
Mr C. K. Das, the Extremist leader in Bengal, says that peaceful political progress in India has been rendered almost impossible by the action of the Government of Bengal in arresting suspects on the advice of panic-mongers. The campaign, he, says, attacks the •whole political life of India. Raids throughout the province have now ceased. They resulted in 70 arrests.
The European Press unanimously applauds the Viceroy's strong actiou. The Indian Press denies the necessity for such action.
