SUNDAY TENNIS.

LINWOOD CLUB'S ATTITUDE. A special meeting of members of the Limyood Tenuis Club will be held in the Auto Association's rooms on Tuesday night to consider the question of Sunday play. At the annual meeting of the club, -when there were abo\it thirty present, out of a total membership of about 2;io, the matter of .Sunday play was introduced without notice ajid a decision arrived at. on a division that play on Sunday be not jiermitted. This decision was not accepted as final by the members generally, and accordingly a requisition was sent in to the committee asking that a special meeting should be held in order that the question might be settled definitely one way or the other. The following proposals will be considered at tho special meeting:—(a) That the resolution carried at, the last annual general meeting, to the effect that Sunday play be not. permitted, be rescinded, (b) That Sunday play be permitted- (c) Notice of motion by Mr S. Jameson, who will move "That Rule No. S-i bo amended by the addition of the following words: 'Provided that any member proposing such alteration or addition to the rules or introduction of any new rule shall have given to all members at least 14 clear days' notice in writing of his intention so to do.' "
