Alexander McCaughan, for being in possession of an unregistered firearm for a longer period than seven days, wa« convicted and lined 10s and costs. The. weapon was forfeited OX LICENSED PREMISES. William Simmonds was convicted and fined 20s and costs for having been found on the 'licensed premises of the Railway i£otel after hours. REMANDED. Timothy O'Connell (Mr A. J. Malley) and James Patrick Madden (.Mr W. F. Tracv) were remanded to appe.ir on Wednesday next on a joint charge of having broken and entered the shop of Ruby Barrar, Christchurch, and stolen preserved fruits, valued ut 7s (id. Bail was allowed. MILKMEN FINED. William Bcggs. was convicted and fined £3 arid costs amounting to £1 19s Cd for having sold milk below standard. George Edgar, for a similar offence, was dealt with in a like manner. George Gray, for having sold milk below. the standard "was convicted and fined £& and costs, amounting to £2 19a od. William Stevens was convicted and fined £3 and costs, amounting to £1 0s Cd for ft similar offence. ADJOURNED.
