RAILWAY EXPERTS.
*7ARRIVAL IN CHRISTCHURCH. The, two distinguished British railway experts, Sir Sam Fay and sir Vincent Raven, who have been invited by tho New Zeal And Government to investigate and report on the railways of the Dominion, arrived in Christchurch by special train from Parnassus shortly after D o'clock laat oven inn. They were accompanied by Meaers Charles Travis, M.lnst.H., editor of the "Railway Kngineer," Mr J. A. Wdiwn* King, aud Mr $ K, Fay, non of Sir Sara Fay. Yesterday morning the official partv left Blenheim by special train forWurd, and continued the journey south by motor-car to Parnassus, where they were joined by the Chriatchurch railway officials, and came on to Christchurch by special train. They will spend the greater part of io-day in <vnd •wound Christchurch and will go on to Dunedin to-night by special train. From Duneain the party will travel to Inveroorgill and over tho southern lines, viaitin® Queetostown en rout®, and finally returning to Chris tclntrch on the evening of Friday, November 7th. Already the tour of the North Island linos ha* been completed, and it ia the intention of the Commission to inspect the South Island Jinaa before taking evidence. The oommiaeionere who ore to report . on the New Zealand railway system, Sir sam Fay and Sir Vincent Raven received a delegation from the Marlborough Pragma League, who shortly represented the Leaguo'a oaee for the completion of the South Island Main Trunk Railway (from Picton to Bluff).
