CHINESE WAR.
AMERICAN MARINES LAND. (Received October 28th, 8.5 p.m.) PEKING, October 28. Two hundred American marines landed at Tientsin; and there are one each of British, French, and Italian gunboats, and two Japanese destroyers, in tho Pei-ho River. There has been an excellent response to the local authorities' appeal for rolunteers. Many trains with troops from Shanhaikwan are "ttrooeeding to Peking. General Wu Pei-fu remains in bis native city. .-Re sent an emissary to the Consulates expressing the hope that he would be allowed to remain a few davs.
