APPRECIATION OF SOLDIER SETTLERS.
"GIVEN A SQUARE DEAL." (I'EESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DANNEVIRKE, October 28. A representative meeting of soldiersettlers of the Glengarry Block expressed appreciation of the recent revaluation of holdings, which amounted to a reduction of -about a third, in many instances, and decided to wire the Minister of Lands (Hon. A. D. McLeod) their thanks and gratitude for the fair and generous treatment given them by the "Valuation Board, and to assure him that they appreciate and have accepted the opportunity given them to make good. It was also decided to wire the Prime Minister acknowledging the fact that he had kept his promise and given them a square dcaL
