OAMARU ELECTION PETITION.
SCRUTINY OF BALLOT PAPERS. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TZLEQKAM.) WELLINGTON, March 27. A scrutiny of the ballot pipers in connexion with the contest for the Onmaru se.it was conducted to-day before the Kegistrar of the. Supreme Court and representatives of counsel for Messrs Lee and Macpherson. The case will be continued to-morrow, when decision will l>e given by the Court in connexion with a technical point raised at Monday's sitting- as to whether the deposit for the petition was lr.ciged by the petitioner in accordance with tha requirements of the Act in Question,.
