Addressing the annual meeting of the Victoria College (Wellington) Graduates' Association on Friday, Mr A. Fair, who presided, said that auring the past ear the activities of the college had een subjected to a good deal ot publio criticism. The criticism hardly needed refutation among the students or the graduates. He would liie, however ; to draw the attention to the positions which graduates of the college occupied in puWic life, and to say that he thought these graduates afforded an answer to the criticism. Among the positions which had been held by graduates of Victoria College were the presidency of the Auckland and Wellington Law Societies. Three Magistrates were graduates of the college, and so were three of the Crown solicitors appointed in the last nino years. The late Mr T. Neave was a graduate, and so was Mr 11. H. Ostler. In addition there were several university professors, including Professors Rigg, Skinner, and Robertson. Mr Fair thought these were appointments to which public attention should be drawn, particularly when criticism was levelled at the college. Don't trifle with a cough or cold. Drive it away with "NAZOL." 60
