A novel plan has been adopted >y the St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan Board whereby the problem of the bishop's journeys to all parts of his diocese has been solved. A list of car-owners—at present sixty-two in number —who are willing to place their cars at the bishop's disposal on certain dayß in the year, has been drawn up and is kept at the office of the board. The bishop acquaints the office with the names of the villages and stations he wishes ,to visit, and the transport arrangements are at once made for bim. The bishop writes, "I have now enjoyed the system" for a month, and for me nothing could je better. I am profoundly grateful to the inventor of this plan, and to board for their help in carrying it out I may add my limbs are amply inspired."
