Sir John Reese, a member of the House of Commons, fell from the Scotch express at Chesterheld, and died in hospital. He had represented Nottingham East in the House of Commons since 1912, and_ was tiie director at the Prisoners of War Information Bureau. He was 68 years of age. The Coroner's verdict was accidental death, there being no evidence to show bow he came to tab from the train. The death iB reported from Florida, U.S.A., of Captain L. F. Hurethouse, D.F.C., late of the Royal F.y.ng Corps. Captain L. F. Hursthouse, while terming with tho Flying Corpa in Egypt, was wounded. In the later stages of the war he wiw engaged on tiie Italian front, and vms there badly wounded in an engagement in which ho won his ,D.F.O.
