MISLAID FILMS.
ACTION FOR DAMAGES FAILS. A fire on the Westmeath in May, 19(20, led to the jettisoning of some cargo, and when the vessel arrived at Wellington seven film's consigned to the Dominion Film Company from Liverpool were missing. After Dalgety and Co. had paid out on the insured films, they were found in one of the Harbour Board's Bheds, and the insurance ( money was refunded. The Dominion Film Company then, sued the master and owners of the Westmeath for temporary los 3 and maintenance. Judgment v/as entered in the Supreme Court by Mr Justico Sim, who attributed the mistake to some officer of the Harbour Board after the films Ljd been discharged from the Westmeath, and he gave judgment for the defendants with costs.
