Muson, and Heath'J. ho waltzing competition caused much entnusiasm, the judging being-carried out by a popular vote from tlio ladies prpsent, resulting in an overwhelming majority in favour of ill- Beaumont, senr., and Hiss Beaumont. Mr Woodsiord and Miss Nelson Eecured second piace, 'vlnio Mr Andrews and Miss Ko bins wei>e third. llr R. H. Stillwell, on- behalf of all present, congratulated the successful competitors, and presented the prizes to Mr Beaumont and his partner. Mr Beaumont, in response, thanked the assembled company for the honour of the vote. Amongst the other competitors with their partners vrere:—Messrs Anderson, F. Halligan, A. Beaumont, Quarter-main, Holmes, O'Lor.g-MiD, G. Cale, Digr.cj-, Campbell, H. Ma-ion, Cogle, and TVoodsford.
