Operations againnt the rebel Bondelzwartz tribe culminated in a .successful assault on a stronghold at Haib by troops and volunteer settlers, assisted liv aeroplanes. The position was captured. The enemy, sulfered severely Tcom aeroplane bombn, which caused much havoc, especially among the enemy's stock. The principal rebel loader, Morris, and a considerable number of followers escaped under cover of darkness. A hundred prisoners were captured. An official report states that the rising has been completely crushed, with a loss to the Government forces of two killed and two wounded. A considerable number of the enemy were killed. Two of the leaders are believed to be .fugitives, making for the Orange River. Troops have been dispatched thither.
