CASUALTIES.
Three people were injured yesterday as the result of the overturning'of a motor furniture van en route from Pigeon Bay to Christchurch. J. Pearcy received injuries to his back, Miss Marsh sustained a broken right arm, and L. Gibson injuries to the lace and head. The sufferers were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, June 1. The body of Denne Clement Twvneham was found on Petone beach this morning. Deceased, who was 34 years of ago, was separated from his wife. He had been a commercial traveller in the South Island, and later was em-, ployed in an hotel at Picton. Xwyneham had an interview with his wife on Wednesday, when he wanted to go back to her, but she refused his request. The Coroner found that death was due to drowning.
