"■ —* TO-MORROW'S BIG CARNIVAL. To-morrow evening a very attractive swimming carnival win be huid in the xepid Batns. The event has been organised by the Canterbury Centre of the N.Z..A.5.A., and the whole ot the proceeds will be handed over to the Blind Fund. Exceptionally good entries have been received ior all the events, and the swimmers tie determined to make the carnival a big success. The New Zealand champions, Miss Gwitfla Shand, Norman Bachelor, and C. Atkinson, and the Canterbury champions, Misses Muriel Simes and Kathleen Bri3tecl will be competing in the vr.rious events. There will b© an .exhibition of diving, and tho match between East Christcburch, winners of the Canterbury championship, and a team selected from th-s rest of Canterbury, should provide a very interesting exhibition of water polo.
