SILESIA LOST.
MOUBNINO IN GERMANY. (By CaWe —Freit Association—Copyrigkt.) (Australian' and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received May 31st, 5.6 p.m.) LONDON, M_ay 31. A message from Berlin says tho Reichstag adopted the German-Polish Convention by a thirds majority. The Upper Silesian membere who thus lost their seats promised to retain German sentiments although nominally Poles. Dr. Wirth thanked them for their patriotism. The Press of every shade mourns the less of Upper Silesia. FJag-i in the Reichstag and city were flown at half mast. Th Berlin correspondent of the "Morning Post" sajs ail Germany is united in bitter, sullen resentment at the loss of Upper Silesia. If militarism ever revives it will find herein a motive, strong enough to override the moro prudent promptings of Germany's present opportunist mind.
