COMMUNITY SINGING
CHRISTCHUROH WARMING TTP. Community singing has been in rogue in Christclvurch long enough now. for people to regard it as a mid-week custom; consequently there was another large attendance at the sing which was held in the Liberty Theatre at the lunch hour yesterday. Mr T. M. Charters a;c«l as leader, and experienced no trouble in getting the- audience to sing a good deal more heartily than they sang last week. Among the songs that wbre sung was, the New Zealand community song "Old Man Care." The collection realised £24 13s 6d. ENTHUSIASM IN DTJNEDIN. (fress association telegram.) DUNEDIN, May 31. Community singing has taken on in Ihuiedin, and is becoming increasingly popular. At the third sing to-day over four thousand people sought to gain admission to the Octagon Hall, and a large overflow gathering had to be catered for, the singing being led from, the balcony of the hall.
