It is equal to the famous Aberdeen, and it is said to be superior to the Russian black. The stone; lias been favourably commented upon by all visitors to the monumental yard, and they weife surprised when told that it was a New Zealand production arid so close at hand. The work of sawing and polishing was all done at Bluff with latest appliances driven by electric power. Until this machinery ■ was installed a short time ago, this stone had to. be sent out of the country to be treated. Now the Bluff people are developing the field on a large scale, and are appealing to the people of the Dominion to assist them with cash to secure more machinery to cope with the increasing demand. To any6ne interested, Mr Tait will be pleased to show them the stone, • and the company's broker, Mr Arthur L. Gray, Stewart Dawson Buildings, High street, or any member of the Christchurch Stock Exchange, will supply prospectus and particulars of the promotion of this promising concern on application. G
