ROUGH WEATHER IN ENGLAND.
> SNOWSTORM AND HURRICANE. (By Cable —PreßS Association.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association,) (Received April 2nd, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 1. The heaviest snowfall for many years occurred in Wales and tho north-east and west of England. The south coast and Welsh railways are blocked. FootH>all matches were abandoned -and the Newbury races cancelled owing to six inches of snow being on the ground, which is unparalleled since 1908. A hurricane in the Channel blew several small craft ashore.
