Harbour/Light. Theatre. a crowded house saw the screening of the First National drama, "Not Guilty, at the Harbour Light Theatre on Saturday night. The supporting programme included a Mermaid comedy and a Pathe Gazette. The bill will be repeated to-night. To-morrow ''Scrap Iron," a production starring Chas. Ray, will be shown, together with a Reelcraft comedy, Gaumont Graphic, and a further episode of "King of the Circus." On Thursday night, in conjunction with the picture programme, Papakunt, the Maori tenor, who has just returned from a lour of the United States, and Madam To Au, Maori soprano, will appear. These singers are at present appearing at Chriatohurch, and have with them an excellent company of supporting artists. Seats may be reserved at Hatton's. Trinity Tennis Club. A combined doubles tournament was held on Sfiturday afternoon for trophies presented by Miss Weastell and Mr H. Ayers. After some very interesting games the final was won 'by Miss Hutchinson- and C. Mazey (reo 15 2-6) from Mrs Hudson aud T. Wales (rec. 15 4-6), 6-5. Afternoon tea was provided' by the men members of the club.

Yachting. The Canterbury Yacht and Power Boat Club held two racea on Saturday. Conditions were scarcely suitable for the sailing' raco, the wind being very light. Results: Yacht Race—Tomtit (Bimin) 1, Tui (lOrain) 2, Pera (lOmin) 8, Bettina (llmia) and Snark (lOmin equal 4. Annis (scr), Phyllis (sixin), anaXinnet (BJmin) also started. Motor Boat Race—lan (28min) 1, O'Marama (6min) 2, Suni>eam (scr) 3 Poresters' Lodge.

The Court Queen of the Jsles, No. 2703, A.0.F., held its quarterly summoned meetin the Foresters' Hall, St. David street, Bro. J. E. W. Sadler', C.R., presiding over a large attendance of members. The sick visitors reported on. members locally and in hospital, and 3ick pay was passed for payment. The chairman of the Social Committee reported that a very enjoyable evening was spent at the recent euchre party and social, in which Bro. J. Loader was the winner of the first prize, and Mr P. Boyle was the winner of the consolation prize. Toasts and songs were contributed by the following:—Messrs J. Loader, O. Conner, A. Fenton, R. Mapple, Miller, Anderson, W. Williams, W. Sadler, D. Voyce, J. Griffith, T. Halliday, It. Macferson, and others. It was decided to challenge various Courtn to a friendly game of cards during l the winter months. One candidate was initiated into the order and one proposed. It wag d:«ided to hold the next meeting on April 11th. Lyttelton-Sumner Road. Mr J. McCombs, M.P., ad-vises that tho new road from Lyttelton to Sumner will be completed in a few weeks' time. Arrangements ore being made by the Public Works Department for a supply of fine metal from the Lyttelton .borough Council for top-dress-ing before the final rolling. With the steep cut out on the Lyttelton side, and the improvement in the grade on the Summer side, this road can easily be negotiated by motor traffic.
