SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS.
LINES ET SOUTH-WEST TERRITORY TO BE TAKEN OVER. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) CAPE TOWN, March 30. The Government has introduced a (Bill transferring all the railways and harbours in the mandated South-West 'Territory (formerly German SouthWest Africa) to the Union Government. The effect of the measure is that lines working at the time of occupation will be taken over by the Union railway administration free of cost. Their value will be added aa non-interest bearing capital, and the railways will become part of the Union railway system.
