VALEDICTORY.

There was a laige gathering of Waltham residents in the school room last night U> bid farewell to Miss A. D. King, who has been first assistant mistress at the school lor twenty-seven years, and is now retiring. Mr C. V. Harvey, chairman of the committee, presided. He said that it was with reelings of sorrow that they parted with Miso King. She had been in the 6chool eo long, and so many children had' passed through her hands, that it seemed a wrench for her to go. It was little they could do fo giie an adequate appreciation of her services to the district.
