•PRESENT BUILDING PROGRAMME. (By Cable—Prws Association—Copjri^lit.) (Australian end K.Z. Cable Association,.) LONDON, March 29. Ir; the House of Commons, Mr L. O. S. Amery, Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty, replying to a question, said that thirty-two ships were at present under construction for the navy at . an estimated total cost of £20,500,000, representing a programme which would be carried out over a number of years. No caoital ships were included.
